Host Kristin Thomas catches up with Supconnect's 2020 Shop of the Year winner, Teri Carlin of Riverbound Sports!
Teri's love for SUP began in 2010 while on vacation. When she moved away from the Southern California coast in 1998, her desire to be close to water grew greater and greater every summer. Her new home, in the Phoenix, AZ region of the southwest was surrounded by amazing lakes and rivers that she had only explored by boat. This place, at the time, had the makings of some great paddling. From there, Teri and her husband wanted to share it with everyone they knew. Not only did it trigger their dream to build a business around it and be the best possible resource for paddlers in their area, they immersed themselves in the entire lifestyle – we must teach those curious to learn more (properly), explore new lakes and rivers, and take a big scary bite into racing. And, who knew how fun it would be to race?! Without sounding completely cliché, it’s the Ohana and the experiences Teri and her husband have made over the past 7 years that have paved the way for the next 7. You can find Teri @teri_carlin02 and @riverboundsports on Instagram.
