One of the most common questions I've been asked since the release of the Crescent Shoalie has been "How do you attach the Motorguide Xi3 & Xi5 quick release bracket?" The method in which I propose in this video may or may not be the best way, but only time will tell. It is one of the ways I envisioned, and tested, mounting this bracket while designing the Shoalie. This method is very easy and seems very secure. Please leave any questions in the comments and I'll try to get to them! I'm sure there are other ways to do it as well that will be just as strong or stronger and just as simple given the attaching points we've created on the bow of this kayak. Enjoy it!
PS, the threaded insert size is 1/4 20.
