With the return to the North of the island, this time with new friends, John, Sheerer and Piers it was time to show them some classics of the North. Aldeyjarfoss, Godafoss and the legendary Midnight Sun Festival put on my Viking Rafting.
Meeting at Viking Rafting the whole crew enjoyed a cold, but fun lap midnight lap down the East Glacial river (Austari Jökulsá) with 7 rafts and a whole heap of kayakers. The next day took us to the Barká River to race for the title of the Midnight Sun race winner... spoiler, Piers won, Lyndon second and Oli in third! Nice one boys.
Time to recover from all the travelling and waterfalls and move on to the next adventure!
Follow our team paddler Chips (Andy Kettlewell) on his everlasting gap year, travelling with his kayaks in search of the best water levels, cleanest waves, and finest coffee. Join him as he shares his adventures and the stoke with you, our amazing community.
