The comfy chair
About the reviewer I started paddling in 2006, paddled a lot in 2008 bringing myself up to confidence in running class 3 and I have paddled class 4 on about half a dozen occasions. Test environment Polish rivers at flood levels, Austrian and Swiss Alps, the Vltava in the Czech Republic Review Outfitting: Very comfortable, but definitely not "flash" - it's functional and it works. The only problem is that the material on the hip shims which attaches to the velcro comes off quite quickly, but this doesn't seem to matter - I've never had a shim slip out. The ribs which are used instead of foam pillars give you unbelievable foot room! The sitting position is exactly what I like - knees held wide and quite high. This doesn't appeal to everyone though... Materials used: The plastic is thick and hard, but on the heavy side. The support ribs give the boat awesome stiffness. From my contact with Fluid, they are dedicated to their boats' strength and toughness. The footrest is plastic, which worries me on one hand (possibility of it breaking), but on the other it could save your legs by breaking...

Good river runner with some play potential.
About the reviewer I've been kayaking for 2 years now, mostly class 2 stuff. I'm definitely still on the learning curve ;) but I feel quite comfortable (though not complacent) in a fammiliar enviroment (don't have too many ww rivers in my neck of the woods). This is my first boat (my own! my precious!) and I've had it since April. Before buying it I paddled boats from my club (Bystrze). These were mostly of older types (Prijon Hurricane, Eskimo Kendo, Speedo, Xeno, Necky Jive and Gliss). Paddled on class 1-2+ on rivers and slalom courses. Review When I bought it this was the shortest boat I had ever paddled ;) and the most modern in design. I kept sinking my stern (just a question of my stance, easily fixed) and I found it very difficult to roll with the planing hull. This difficulty was compiled by the enormous ammount of volume (238l) which is concentrated in the cockpit area. It took me the entire season to get to grips with rolling this kayak and I still won't call my roll bomb-proof. I have had virtually no problems with rolling...
