Under the hood, it offers options for both an 2+1 and quad-fin setups. The WB is available in 9'2" and 10'2" for surfing and 11'2" for cruising.

KM's cruiser series of boards was created to provide a cross-over option for the paddler who enjoys both the flat-water and the occasional swell. The 14’0” TR-X is the most specialized board in the Amundson line-up. At 27.5 inches wide with a piercing displacement nose, this board has outstanding glide and tracking. Compared to its predecessor, the 2014 TR-X has a slightly flatter rocker for improved speed in flat-water while flat bottom sections maintain excellent stability on this board. Through extensive on-water GPS testing John verified that improved stability does not significantly reduce board speed in a sprint, but can certainly conserve valuable energy, improving performance over the long haul. Staying upright on a tippy board can sap plenty of energy in rough water! The 14’0” TR-X is probably the most stable 14 foot race board available, and also one of the fastest downwind, as it easily picks up swells and surfs with unbeatable control. Laminated with a carbon/kevlar bottom, a carbon/innegra deck, and a layer of high-density PVC foam in the standing area this board is light, stiff and built to handle the test of time as well as the race course. For weight savings and stunning good looks, the deck is finished in red-tinted resin and left unpainted so the carbon weave is clearly visible. ...

Although a 14 foot board is the proper size for bigger paddlers, until now the only options were narrow, tippy, dedicated race boards. But racers are not the only paddlers who enjoy the feel of slicing through the water and gliding forward with minimal effort. This is one of the essential joys of SUP, and one to be enjoyed by anyone. The exciting new Amundson 14’0” TR-T builds upon the relatively stable 14’0” TR-X and expands it to 29.5 inches wide so that even entry-level paddlers can be up and cruising with confidence. This board is designed for larger paddlers, or for any performance-oriented paddler who values the attributes of a racing board but prefers a more stable and floatier design. A complete set of inserts at the nose and tail offer plenty of gear capacity for extended touring or expedition use.

The 12’6” TR features a deep V displacement bow that smoothly knifes through oncoming chop, allowing the board to ride smoothly through even the roughest water. Moving aft, the deep V transitions into flatter sections which get the board up onto a plane quickly and efficiently and offer control while surfing down a swell. Added volume in the nose keeps the 12’6” TR riding high while the inverted V-shaped foredeck funnels the water off the board. The cockpit is slightly recessed to provide a lower center of gravity and more comfortable standing area. The 11’6” TR-X offers the same awesome shape as the 11’6” TR built in beautiful Amundson Bamboo/Carbon™ technology. A full layer of carbon/kevlar on the bottom makes the board lighter and stiffer, without sacrificing durability. On the deck, a layer of bamboo veneer is sandwiched between fiberglass layers to create a resilient outer skin that is both beautiful and pleasingly lightweight. Amundson testers had so much fun with the extra stability of the Source 11’6”, that John decided to take it a step farther and design one of the most stable boards on the planet. At 34 inches wide and 250 liters, the Source 11’10” offers ultimate stability without feeling like an extra-wide board. It paddles smoothly through the water with surprisingly little resistance and is easy to maneuver in turns. The Source 11’10” is conveniently outfitted with a full EVA deckpad, so the kids and dogs have plenty of comfortable traction. A complete set of inserts at the nose and tail provide a place to strap down a cooler, gear and tackle for fishing or expedition use. The 11’10” adeptly handles any paddler up to 300 pounds, and is stable enough for a fun tandem excursion.

The Source 11’6” is one of the most popular boards in the Amundson line because of its versatility. While ideal for entry-level riders, advanced paddlers will still appreciate the outstanding performance of the Source 11’6”. At 32 inches wide, this board offers extra stability when needed, which allows casual paddlers to pay more attention to the scenery, even when it’s choppy. The outline and rocker work together to keep this board tracking with plenty of speed so reaching the next beach feels effortless. The Cross 11’0” hits the sweet spot for maximum versatility in an all-around board. Flat-water or waves, this board guarantees a smile! At 178 liters, it is floaty enough to confidently carry paddlers up to 200 pounds while offering glide and stability for efficient cruising, even with less experienced paddlers. In the surf, a little extra nose rocker keeps the Cross 11’0” from pearling, and it’s three fin set-up delivers playful agility. Grab it and go; this is a modern classic that most paddlers will never out-grow.

The Cross 10’6” is the perfect board for paddlers under 160 pounds who want a light, compact board for a variety of conditions. The shorter length and Constant Flow rocker make the 10’6” easy to maneuver, even in a breeze. Speed and tracking are excellent for a board of this size. At 25 pounds, it’s the easiest board to handle out of the water and onto the car. Larger or more experienced paddlers will love the Cross 10’6” for SUP surfing. It drives down the line with speed and quickly responds to rider input with a three fin set-up and narrow tail.

This bamboo beauty was created by master craftsman Randy French to feature its versatile ridability. While it is shaped with a full rail and added volume for stability, special care has been paid to retain maneuverability.

oZoboard has been working hard on designs for a new “big dog” SUP board and production models of the new high volume 10’6″, seen here, will arrive in California in March. This board will be part of a revamped oZo SUP fleet for 2014. The board is 10’6″ long x 32″ wide x 5″ thick and chimes in at a hefty 250 liters to support up to 300lb paddlers. It has a new graphic and color scheme as well….we’ll see how the market reacts, but we feel it’s cool.
