Born on the winds of time, Mistral takes its name from France’s famous Mistral Wind and so it is only natural we should seek to exploit the winds energy in producing SUP boards specific to the task of embracing this high performance, exhilarating, discipline enjoyed the world over.

Same great all-around shape for 2015 with a fresh design and improved construction. As with any board construction, all soft top boards are not created equal. BOGA Soft Tops are essentially full hard boards, with double 1/8" Unilateral Stringers, fully glassed and then wrapped in tough guard EVA. The first 1.5" of the nose and tails are chopped and then re-built using high density EVA blocks, you can literally drop these boards on the cement from several feet with no damage. The fin boxes are re-enforced with PVC and the deck pad is integrated into the construction of the board. Tie downs and GoPro mounts round out the feature set of the boards. One of our top selling models due to the quality and versatility of these boards, either as a family board to kick around the lake cabin or as a rental fleet board. Did we mention this board is super fun to surf in small waves?

BOGA’s heritage in the SUP Race scene is proven, with Elite and regional wins all across the globe. Our attention to detail and our focus on building fast yet stable race boards remains for 2015 with the newly designed Typhoon shape. After studying the changing climate of racing and board technologies we shaped the 2015 model with 3 main goals: Sprint Speed, Stability and what we call Slipperyness. For speed we have a board without standard top speed limitations, one that can get up on plane and holeshot easily. For Stability we didn’t roll the bottom, instead we added a large single concave running from center and exciting the tail. And for Slipperyness, we removed the nose chin and flattened the bottom entry, moving the wide point forward to create a nose that “skips” on top of the water and doesn’t hold a line. A ll this translates into a board that can get up and over 7-8MPH in sprints for good starts, handles the draft train well without feeling “sticky” and has the stability both Elites and Recreational racers have come to appreciate.
