The Ride family is our most versatile, but we recognise that bigger riders often look for a board offering more stability, which is where the 10’8” Ride comes in. It has all the same qualities as the 9’8” and the 10’6”, but it’s two inches wider at 34”/863mm and has an extra 56 litres of volume, creating a more stable ride. It’s also 4.7”/120mm thick, which means you get greater stiffness at lower pressure. In fact, it’s more than 40 per cent stiffer than a standard 4”/100mm board at the same pressure. Four may be considered a crowd but not on a Red Paddle 14’0” Ride L. This large inflatable SUP was specially conceived to be ridden by groups of paddlers wanting to share some fun on the water. At 14′ long and 47″ wide, this board has a wide deck and tail and is ultra stable so that you can get serious team effort going. That said, sharing a paddleboard with a group is rarely a serious affair, and it can sometimes end up being one game of last man standing. Whatever you use the Ride L for though, you can be safe in the knowledge that it was built to the same high standards as the rest of the Red Paddle Co range and can withstand a bit of rough and tumble.

The smallest of the Ride family is the 9’8” Ride, a board designed for all-round usage for lighter riders. You’ll get the best out of it if you’re under 70kg/155lb, but that doesn’t exclude heavier riders. In fact, for heavier riders, the 9’8” makes a great surf shape. Key to the Ride’s versatility are its dimensions. It’s 787mm/31” wide and 100mm/3.93” thick, which makes it a stable but manoeuvrable board. It’s a great board for beginners, but because it’s been stiffened with our RSS battens, it delivers a fantastic experience for more advanced riders, too. The 9’8” Ride also has cargo tie-downs on the front for a dry bag. A true hybrid board designed to merge the performance characteristics of a flat water board with a more recreational small surf paddler. Flip the board over and you’ll notice the pulled point nose with pronounced vee shape that cuts through lake/bay chop with ease. Moving back to the tail you’ll see pronounced vee and a FUTURE 44cm center fin for great tracking and enhanced maneuverability on small surf. The El Rey has enough volume to float larger riders, explore with your kids, the family dog, you name it. A great board for bays and lake paddling that can also be used for surf. The Micro Team Hipster has all the skateboard loose feel we all love but in a tidy small package. 7.8 x 29 x4.25 make this sled short board but a FUN board shape make the smiles big. At 9.2 x 31 the Chub is the longest of our new line of accessible performance shapes. With a blown up short board inspired outline, this shape blasts through mush sections with a stomp on the wide squash tail while the pulled nose provides less swing weight for maneuvers. We call this board feel the “Magic Carpet Ride” for its smooth predicable surf style, it has a great feel in medium size surf and can run with the best of them, lip smacks and tail slides are possible here folks. With a wide tail, pulled nose and 8.5 x 29 x 4.25 dims the carbon construction packs a lot of performance and quality for the price. The Ocho is the perfect weapon for destroying your local surf break. A true step down shape, this board is very popular with those moving from larger boards and looking for performance while retaining stability. Don’t be the guy falling over the line up on some tiny board, instead this board allows for easy paddling and wave catching while still ripping turns and lip smacks. We have woman 115lbs to guys over 220 ripping on this board and loving the balance between drive, performance and stability. Full 5-fin sup up allows you to run this shape as a quad or a thruster while the wide pin tail will drive you down the line and smack whatever surf you throw at it. From 2ft to 10ft the Ocho has seen it all and delivered smiles.

The scaled down version of the popular Ocho model, this shape keeps things real with performance dims but still retains good stability and wave catching traits at 8.2 x 29 x 4.25. This board is carbon but we beefed up the construction vs skimping to last many seasons of use and abuse. A great balance of good weight and great durability.
