“ 64” is the name of our new slalom C1 which was designed by Tony Estanguet with GALASPORT. The magical number “64” is the number code of region below the Pyrenees and of city PAU, the city where Tony Estanguet is living, paddling, training and is supported by region “64”.

During the designing Robin Bell tried to keep his idea of a playful boat and to keep the feature of fast reaction of the canoe to the movement of the paddler.Robin worked mainly on the front part of the canoe,the rounding of the front part of the hull of the canoe and lifting up of the nose ( front 120 cms) makes the EL SCORCHO very stable, easily turnable, just " easy" canoe.EL SCORCHO is intended mostly for higher weight categories over 75kg.

( The "64" canoe won Tony Estanguet the title of World Champion in 2009.) Tony made some changes to the hull. Tony was aiming at an optimal shape between the flat and round bottom which guarantee both maximal speed and turnability. Tony´s original ideas together with his boat mastery of C1 paddling and design along with his knowledge of the production technology used by Galasport have produce 10 years of excellent results and that is why we hope that the new design of the E.T. will bring Tony continuing of success on the world stage! Galasport has designed a new slalom boat for children and light juniors up to 53Kg that complies with the new ICF 2005 regulations. Due to careful placement of volume and custom sizing, those with some experience or total beginners will feel very stable in this boat and will get to know the feeling that adult champions have on real full size racing boats.

Weighing in at 90 Kg, he decided to increase the buoyancy but without diminishing the excellent parameters of the boat. The new and improved Shorty XL alows heavier paddlers to enjoy the great perfomance of this boat. The Shorty 362 XL retains all the speed and maneuverability of the smaller Shorty 362. This boat is intended for paddlers over 85 Kg

Your young superstar will not be competing in IFC sanctioned races anyway.What's important is that the DINO is specifically built for beginner paddlers with safety, comfort, and ease of mind. This will help greatly in developing their skills and confidence before they hit the big leagues!
