Solid Playboat
About the reviewer
I paddle the Rev everyday of the summer as a safety boater and 2-3 times a week when I'm not guiding. Been paddling for 3 years. Runs some moderate rivers and go to a lot of play spots.Test environment
Class III - III+ Whitewater, various waves and holesReview
Bought the Rev M after using a Dagger Agent 6.2 all summer. I like it a lot more - faster and smoother on a wave, easier (for me at least) to cartwheel and bowstall in flatwater, outfitting is very comfortable, and overall feels a lot more solid and comfortable than my old Agent. I've tried various Wave Sport and Liquid Logic playboats as well, and for me the Rev works the best.Pros: Very smooth and fast on a wave compared to most modern playboats, carves smoothly. Spins easily, has a lot of pop, and gets nice and bouncy on a big wave. In a hole it has a lot of pop. Love the outfitting - fits great and feels great, although my butt does fall asleep after a few hours of boating. Pyranha has really cool colors too.
Cons: Kinda sucks in flatwater. Seat is hard to adjust. More expensive than other brands.
Conclusion
Pretty good boat. I like it more than a Dagger Agent, feels right for me. Some people don't like them, I love mine. More expensive than most companies, try to find a good deal (I paid $700 for mine new). Try one out - may or may not be the boat for you.Review
