Fast slicey huge-looping WINNER
About the reviewer
4th place Worlds 1995, 2005 Nat. Freestyle Champ, Bronze Medalist World Cup 06Experienced competitor who prefers big downriver play like Gauley, Dries, and Numbers but also loves a deep little park-n-play hole with coffee nearby.
Test environment
Gauley, Rock Island, Ocoee, Salida, BV, Pueblo, Glenwood Springs, Grand Canyon, New, Pine Creek/Numbers, Russel Fork, Upper Yough, Lyons, Lawson, etc.Review
This All-star puts speed, sliceyness, and looseness on a new level while providing the comfort, forgiving edges, and easy-rolling behavior all JK boats are known for.Fast enough for big flat waves like Glenwood or Dries at medium but still perfect for little spots like "North Shore'' and Hell hole and Salida. Top performance for Winning matches forgiving edges and roll-ability for everyone.
Strengths - speed; AIR_TIME: whole-boat sliciness for cartwheels, Phonics, Mcnasty's and Orbits; Massive Loops
Absolutely DRY - no screws to leak. Really comfortable, instant-adjusting outfitting.
Weaknesses - hmm... kinda popular?
Sizing - Jonothan Shales takes it HUGE at 135LBS, easiest cartwheels and learning tricks at 175 lbs. Perfect combo of speed and air-time and huck-ability at 150-175lbs.
Conclusion
If you want to get good - or even better - at playboating, the All-star is your best bet.Review
