Hi all,

I'm an italian white water paddler, but sometimes I also use to paddle on lakes and sea close to my home town.

I'll spend two weeks for work in Libertyville, near (i suppose) Chicago,
starting from 16th may to 1th june

Can someone give me some hints on how to find a kayak and paddle a little during spare time?

Of course I don't pretend to find whitewater rivers or rodeo spots, even some flat paddling would be fine.

Also hints about weather are welcome, I never been there. :?:

At the moment I just made a very quick search on google and got some feedback from www.chicagokayak.com

Ciao

Hi,
I'd like to make a public thank Ray, who contacted me after reading my message on this forum and invited me to descend the Vermillion River, 2 hours west from Chicago.

Ray, thank you very much to you and your friends for the nice day i spent today.

No matter the river class, it has been very nice to spend this sunny and warm day with new people in a new river.

thank you also to playak for making possible to meet people who lives in different continents.

ciao
