Hey guys, I am brand new to paddling. I just bought a fluid spice, but I had a shoulder injury that prevented me from going out and learning how to roll with it,etc. Are there any paddlers in the Old Orchard Beach area of Southern Maine that could help me out with the sport? I am pumped to start paddling, but it's entirely stupid if I were to go out alone. If anyone knows anybody, or a direction I could go in to find some help and fellow paddlers, that would be awesome! No one I know has any interest or experience, so I am stuck finding a group of friends to go with.

Thank you very much sir, the link to the MOAC is awesome, will definitely check out a meeting of theirs and find some kayakers! I appreciate it very much, and thanks for the welcome! Does Ken White have a lot of good material? Someone mentioned a sort of comic like cartoon book guide by him?

The DVDs and books from Ken Whiting are not recent materials., as far as I know
EJ jackson has newer DVD's so also newer boats and technics.

For example:

Have fun!
