Ive got the first half of January off and am thinking of doing a trip down to the states as rivers here in BC have finally dryed up. I know January isnt ideal times but thats when my time off is so going to try and make the best of it. Ive been told that the White Salmon runs most of the year, anyone confirm this? Also is there anything else near by that would be good to hit on a road trip. Looking for class 4 ish stuff and maybe a little 5. Will have creek boats and play boats.

Anyone else around that wants to hook up for a paddle that time drop me a line.

White Salmon should be running. Best to check AWW to see whats in the green. Would also check the Sky and Tumwater to see if there is a melt off. Have run Olympic Pennensula rivers in the winter and there are several good beach breaks but pretty cold. We are geting tons of snow now and really cold.

Have a good trip!

T,
I live in the Seattle area.
The Hood River area will be a pretty safe bet. Something in that area will be running in the IV to V range.
The Little White does run all year, but if we are snowed in access will be an issue.
There will be tons of options in the Puget Sound area. Here is our local web site that you can get great current information and find a crew to run with if needed.
