RI/MA paddlers?? 16 years 6 months ago #23451

Heyy - I'm a pretty new paddler in southeast mass looking for people around the area to just get out and paddle. There's not much whitewater around here that I know of :( but i'd be up for trying out surf kayaking. or if anyone knows places to go to work on my rollllll.

yes. you should go kite boarding because it's fun and you will have places to go in that area.

a few of us northeastern padders check here on playak every now and then, but it's also worth checking on npmb.com for northeast U.S. specific info.

Look into the Boston chapter of the A.M.C. to see if/when they are having pool sessions.

Deerfield river is always good, dam release during summer. Fife is easy class II,III and Dryway is class II-IV. And as far as surf, I go to Second Beach in Newport RI, have good breaks and usually not too crowded.
Do you have a combat roll? I am going to be going to Dryway this weekend and next, not so good of a river for noobie's without saftey boaters. Abd Fife section is kinda worthless because there is only 2 small class III sections from what I hear, I learned on the upper section.
