Dagerossi SquashTail-large- in Calif? 17 years 3 weeks ago #20846

Anybody know where to find a Squashtail with the large outfitting anywhere near the SF Bay Area, CA, USA?. I'd love to find one I can sit in to see how I'll fit. I am 6'2\" 190 lbs (I mostly paddle a Jackson Super Star)

your fit mostly will depend on how long your legs are and if you can put your feet in a pointed position. If you need them to be flat like in a creek boat then it just won't happen.

Here is a list of the USA demo centers. Albert is in California, I believe north of the SF bay area. Contact him. He has a regular Squashtail, but it's still worth sitting in. The new seat makes a big difference. I have one customer who bought the newer sized Squashtail and just ripped everything out to put a foam seat in for surfing.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Thanks Scott for the info. By the way last weekend I competed in the Santa Cruz Surf Kayak Festival. Last year I went to observe and checkout gear. This year I was stoked to win the Novice Division (plastic). Both times , though, I was struck by lack of representation by most boat and gear makers. Two or three high performance boat makers were there but that was pretty much it. If there had been a squashtail there i might have bought it. I spoke to one of the world cup HP contestants that loves his Squashtail for smaller surf/ beachbreaks. It is generally very difficult to find specialized gear in this area.
