Hello,

I'm a French kayaker planning a trip to the States next summer (possily the first 3 weeks of July), and I would like to enjoy some river over there.

Does anyone know a good kayak school or spot where I can spend a week without bringing all my gears?
What I'm looking for is some fun on the water of course, but also improving my technique (I'm not a great kayaker... I'm confident on Class III, I can still manage on some IV, and V only if it's big volume and not technical...) and why not developpping yet unknown frestyle skills.

Would you have something for me?

Best,

Wilf

I will visit some friends in DC and NY, then cousins in LA and SF... there's some space in between...

Convince your DC friends to take you out to the ASCI in Maryland.

Hey Wilf,
I live about an hour from DC. If you don't mind a small drive for a day, I can show you the Upper Youghiogheny or Lower Youghiogheny. They are about 3 or 4 hours from DC (easily a day trip). The Lower Yough is a good solid class III run, and gorgeous. As long as you're close to my size, I've got plenty of extra gear. Feel free to email me.
