I'm kinda starting to think about a new creeker. The edges on my M3 are a bit trippy. Do you think the mafia is too big. I'm 120lbs and I paddle class V high volume and low volume.

I think that you are a good size for either the Mafia or Gangster. Both boats sit pretty low on the hips so will fit you well. And the new performance seat is a bit smaller than the large elite seats that are currently in the demo boats. Much more contoured and easier to outfit with foam.

Give Jeff an email and try both of the boats out. I think that it's really a question of which one feels more comfortable for you, performance wise. Gangseter and Mafia are pretty close in volume. The Mafia has an early rocker transision so it is a much more turny boat, especially made for the tight, low volume steep stuff. But, I just had it out on my local run at 6000cfs and it worked fine. The Gangster carries the flat spot a little bit longer in the stern so it's a bit faster and feels more traditional for a creeker. It actually reminds me of a cross between the Crux and the Salto.

If you have any more questions, or need anything, feel free to email me directly.
