i am trying to figure out if it is flying over to Austria for the race on the Oetz. What kind of a course is it? they say it is class
5-6 is that true or an overstatement? Is it a fun section of water or just a good place for a race?

Anyone raced there before? how long is the race? I see gates in the photos, are their gates?

:)

EJ,
the wellebrucke on the Oetz is a well know stretch of class 5, the hardest bit on the big Oetz river. There was a similair competition last year, so some competitors from last year will be able to tell you all about it. You might want to drop Olaf a mail and see what has in mind, but i think it will be pretty big this year.
There are some international airports, and for US standards they are damn close ;)

Cheers,
Jasper

Hey EJ,
check this out: www.bondle.de/Kajak_Videos/Wellerbrucke_2005.wmv

This is at least one part of the Wellerbruecke section on the Oetz and it is definetly a good piece of class 5 Whitewater ; )! About 2 years ago there was a high flood in Austria and the section has changed.

Check this page for informations about rules etc adidas-sickline.com/index.php?id=23
