There really is no comparison, the old rocker had no rocker making it difficult to maneuver and boof. While the new rocker has substantially more rocker so it maneuvers great boofs great and with the added volume it handles great in choppy water staying on top of almost everything. I really enjoyed my time in both boats but the newer rocker has a big edge on performance. Unfortunately I broke two rockers last year and got frustrated with it so I've moved onto another boat. I don't know if it was an issue with just my boats or more than that I just know I had enough.
