Want to learn how to paddle whitewater! 12 years 3 months ago #32829

I really want to learn how to kayak on whitewater, I have been rafting before and kayaking on a double... but I am stoked to learn how to river run by myself. I am a 5'2" girl who weighs around 150 lbs... do you have any advice on what kind of boat/paddle I should buy? I have been looking on Craigslist a lot and need to know what to look for. I want to get in the pool this spring and have my friends teach me how to roll and all the paddle strokes, can't wait!

Thanks,

Christine:)

I learned to roll in a Dagger RPM. The old ones. I have one for sale in Idaho if interested/near. I am 6'1" about 235, but some of the smaller women in the class about the same size as you are, and they have absolutely no problems rolling it. If you can find one on craigslist that would be your best bet!
