I would like your opinion on Dimension Kayaks...I have an incredible opportunity for a Brand new R5 (a bit less than 1/2 price). I have no interest in Rodeo...just river running...ok maybe a little surfing. . Since I am a heavy guy (250lb - 6') I was thinking that this old school type boat would be fun to paddle. There is little reviews on the net for this company.
I have noticed that the cockpit is very small! I will have to try to fit in!

What is the impact of passing the weight limit for a boat...a little instability or lots? Do you believe that companies leave a small safety margin...for example 10% or 20% when they rate the weight range? I am asking because I could also have a good deal on a 1999 Dagger Transition. I overshoot the max weight by 50ll however!

Thanks to take the time ...
