We have more details of the incident and some photos of the Fenn Millennium surfski that was chomped by a Great White Shark in Mossel Bay on 28th June. Ouch... I paddle in some pretty sharky waters down here. I think I'd prefer to drown than to be taken by a Great White though. That dude was pretty lucky. Think I've seen over 20 twenty sharks (mostly very small) while paddling and over 50 while windsurfing, about three of them larger than 3m. I guess it's just really super bad luck as mostly they either just swim away, or I leave before I need to find out any more.. Scary thought though. |
