Has anyone tried kayak waterskiing? 14 years 6 months ago #30215

I am a whitewater kayaker, but am new here. I made this account for the sole purpose of asking this question. Has anyone tried kayak waterskiing? I have never heard anyone say they have, and even looked online. I doesn't sound like it would be too dangerous and I really want to try it. Does it sound dangerous to you? Any comments are welcome.

i think you'll find more if you search for 'wake' instead of 'waterski'...
If you're happy, you're successful.

Yeah I've tried it. Playboats typically don't work too well. As soon as you go too fast they start jumping around and it's impossible to hold on. Something like the Fluid Element works really well. So try to get something like that and hit it. :)

Hold on to the ski rope and paddle at the same time once the boat gets going let go of the rope.If the boat does the right speed you can surf the wake hard in behind the boat.I would get 2min long rides before Dad would gun the boat and spray me.
