Titanium implants 19 years 4 months ago #1638

I was wondering if any1 else out there paddles with steel implants in their arms? or any where else in their body for that matter.

On oct 13 I was off for a casual evening solo down my local gr 3 when I got smashed to bits in a head on at 100 k/h. (The other guy was fine except he lost his licence and has to pay reparations...) Any way I broke both my feet and elbow.

As a result I now have about 20 asorted bits of titanium in my dominant right arm. I'm at the stage where I'm hobbling around the back yard with a stick and getting back in my boat next weekend. I've combined a wet suit brace with some padding and some mountain bike armour to cover it up and keep it warm.

I'm sure other people have been in the same predicament, and every injury is different, does it/ can it work?

Cheers
Gruntsman

If its wet paddle it, if it's frozen ski it, if it's high climb it :-)
