There are many people in Russia use left-control paddles.
I think there are more left-handers then right-handers.

Yup I'm a lefty too.
(Many years ago a lot of racing clubs (read K-2, K-2, K4) provided left twist paddles for racing . I do not know if this was a global thing but around monthreal in the 70's and 80's that was the case.) I don't know why but it seems to be a old phenomenon around here.
If you can encourage young paddlers to learn to use a right twist it will make buying a paddle of the shelf from most stores a lot easier. (Most shops around here do not stock left twist paddles and that really sucks if you need to replace one fast).
