Oct 19 Social Instagram feeling very lucky to win first in SUP at the West Shore Huron Classic yesterday. After a horrible first heat where I could barely stand from the wind and big waves I just barely squeezed into the finals. My final heat thankfully went better. What an amazing day of surfing. Pumping conditions all day long battling the elements; that is what lake surfing is all about. The longboard and shortboard heats blew my mind. Never in my 7 years surfing the lakes have I seen the high level of surfing that I saw yesterday. Many surfers were repping their home countries including Canada, USA, France, Brazil, Barbados, & Mexico. Huge thank you to Ash & Tonya from West Shore, Boardworks for supporting me, the town of Kincardine supporting surfing, everyone behind the scenes helping set up & tear down, and all the sponsors who donated an insane amount of prizes. stoked and fortunate to be a part of lake surfing history yesterday @westshoresurfshoppe @boardworkssurfsup #lakesurf #lakehuron #huronclassic #supsurf #standuppaddle
Oct 9 Social Instagram the surf was on for Lake Erie today. I went on a bit of a searching mission and got to surf a new spot for the first time (not the wave in the pic) - a limestone shelf that broke like a reef and had walled up lefts. coming across a wave like that here is rare so I am def feeling fortunate! I soloed it for almost four hours battling the current but scored some real good ones. thank you google maps #froth #supsurf #standuppaddle @boardworkssurfsup #boardworkssup #welivewater #lakesurf
