Aug 17 Social Instagram 5 years between viewing Oahu sunsets. It was hard for me to believe that when visiting Oahu 5 years ago I was too scared to SUP. Pete paddled on his own and I spent my time on the sand just admiring the ocean. What a difference 5 years brings. Always challenge yourself and try something new #nofilter #oahu #sup #tryingsomethingdifferent #challengeyourself
Aug 1 Social Instagram What a month. 715km (444 miles) on the Yukon River Quest Race, setting a new female SUP course record of 59 hours 28 minutes. During the race setting a new 24 hour World Record on flowing water of 293.71km (175.24 miles). Then straight to Maui for my first ever open ocean crossing - the Pailolo channel between Maui and Molokai, one week later a Maliko run race and one week after that crossing the treacherous Ka'iwi channel (the channel of bones) between Molokai and Oahu for the M2O World Championships. Being the first British SUP paddler to cross the finish line and joined shortly afterwards by Gareth Edwards being the first male SUP paddler from the UK to cross the channel. 831km raced and a total of 1004km (621 miles) paddled in a month. I am having 2 days of rest before getting ready for the next race in less than 2 weeks. Five more ultra endurance races to do this year. Thanks Pete Vale for supporting me so much in fulfilling my dreams #stepoutofyourcomfortzone #worldslongestraces #lifeisanadventure #sup #dontstop #naishsup #suunto #dadordrywear #blackprojectfins #qbpaddles #velocitek
