Oct 12 Social Instagram It's been an awesome season to #kayakfish in the state of Texas. Made the last and biggest event of the #fishkats season a memorable one by winning and taking the stage with one of my best friends and #backwoodsfortworth teammate @j_m_sanderson who claimed King of the Fish honors. The tournament was a little bit stressful at times as the fishing was a bit tougher than most expected. During the first day I was able to find a small hump in the main lake that was loaded with fish during the shad spawn first thing in the morning. Once that died, I hit creek channel drains adjacent to secondary points in Tolesco and Naconiche Creek. Fished over the tops of trees with #xcitebaits raptor tail worms and was able to cull on both days. Want to thank the #fishkats crew and all the competitors for the good times and tough competition. #diablopaddlesports #wernerpaddles #somethinfishycustomrods #FFishC
