May 21 Social Instagram **SWIPE LEFT** °Yesterday was such a whirlwind. We got up at 3am drove to St. Pete raced in Fl Cup. A 6 mile race course along Madeira Beach. The ocean was pretty challenging with strong headwind, current, some ground swell action and decent size chop to traverse. Some how I pulled off a 3rd overall (fire cracker Maddie Miller 1st and my favorite island girl Isabelle Picard 2nd) in Women's 12'6 and 1 first in age group (2nd Catherine Uden 3rd Karen Kennedy). °°°°. What makes me happiest though is seeing all the competitors giving it their all no matter what they have going on personally (physically or mentally) . This sport is about getting out there and rising to the challenge because, just as in life, it is never going to be easy. Keep paddling because it feels so good to cross that finish line! ° P.s. I saw so many dolphins on the course.
