Friends since middle school, Robert Reed and Russell Coble grew up along the shores of Orange Counties favorite beaches, surfing, swimming, and paddling. In 1996 they created Ohana because they felt they could build better paddle boards than what were currently available.
Coble, the consummate waterman, brings to the table over three decades of experience racing outrigger canoes, surfski’s and paddleboards. Bob, the craftsman, supplies his ability to accurately translate an idea onto a canvas of foam and fiberglass. One thing is certain, they are stronger together and both men credit their aquatic success to the synergy that they have developed over the last forty-years of friendship in and out of the water. Constant communication and feedback have become the driving force behind the innovation and progression at Ohana.

Ohana has won all major paddleboard races including the World Championships (Australia), Molokai to Oahu (Stock Division), Catalina Classic, several United States Championships and International events.
