MARK LEWIN
Awarded South African National colours for Kayaking in 1983,1987,1989 and 1994. South African Surf Lifesaving Surfski Champion in 1987. A member of the South African team that won the World Team Title at the International Moloki – Ohau Channel race in Hawaii in 1987.

Mark is the founder of Custom Kayaks and his successful kayak designs are based on the results of 25 years of designing, shaping and building his own racing kayaks.

BARRY LEWIN (SON)

Represented South Africa as a junior in 2002 at the World Marathon Canoeing Championships in Stockton on Tees in the UK. Was awarded South African Schools Canoeing colours in 1999, 2000 and 2001. The youngest member of the South African squad, winners of the World Cup Surfski 2004. Barry is a full time student however paddling out of the Custom Kayaks stable ensures both him and the factory the benefit of developing the most suitable kayaks for the market place.
