Monster and Sea founder Troy Nebeker conceived of this 24 paddle after watching a 24-hour-paddle effort by Rob Rojas. It inspired him to create the 24. In year one, the Seattle team delivered envelopes to 7 families, each with $1,000.00 and an note saying: There is a community of people who love you and are fighting for you. This year, there are 22 teams in 22 locales across the country and including teams Canada and the Cayman Islands.
