The Solaris is a good choice for people who like to relax and lean back when they paddle. The back flotation of the jacket rides above the back rest of most kayak seats, and the mesh provides cool venting. Unlike many bulky high back PFDs, the Solaris is slim and trim up front in the upper chest where the foam body meets the shoulder straps. The foam is contour cut to position it lower down - a plus for women looking for a jacket that gives more room above for the bust. The jacket features three easy-to-clip buckles that can be adjusted – you can open up the straps to vent the jacket at the front. Two large “stealth” cargo pockets provide plenty of room for carrying smaller necessities. (We call them “stealth pockets” because when they are empty they lie flush to the jacket so that you don’t even know that they’re there!) The Solaris offers 9 points of adjustment for fit, adjustable shoulder straps, and reflective trim for increased visibility in low light conditions. Durable shell fabrics: 300 D Polyester and 500 D. Cordura.
Buoyancy: 16 lbs. 5 oz.
