Wow, this boat has been sooo much fun working on and paddling.

The goal is to create a playboat that opens up new moves on the smaller features most paddlers have access to, while pushing what's possible on the biggest features too. We weren't designing it for cartwheel based moves, but I took it to the National Championships at Rock Island and won.....sweet, it's great in a hole too! Very fast, super loose, incredible carving on waves, narrow for ease of edge transfers and initiation, volume in the right places to maximize pop for airloops, airwheels, etc while keeping it smooth for cartwheels (Jimmy Blakeney).

Great Boat

About the reviewer

Been kayaking for about 3 years. Do lots of surf and a bit of whitewater. Can stern squirt and bow stall for a bit, then I fall flat on my face - lol.

Test environment

Had it for a few months, so lots of places: whitewater, surf, pools, flatwater.

Review

A great boat which is very agile on a wave and you can get a fair bit from it. Great for flatspins and blunts and I'm sure there's plenty of people who can pull off some crazy tricks in this boat. It's easy to squirt and get vertical and even though I can't my friend can cartwheel this from end to end to end and so on.

It's also so comfy and the outfitting is great. The only thing is the ratchets are mild steel so you need to keep an eye on them as they rust quite easly in lots of surf and salt water.

I bought this boat ex-demo and got an awsome deal on it as with the Project now they're quite cheap but unless you want to pull off huge pistol flips and donkey flips and go off to Buseater and Hawaii sur Rhone I think it's just as good and for flatwater freestyle better as it's very stable on end and easy to roll if you have got a good stable roll.

Conclusion

Get this boat, it's awsome and great value for money and amazing on a wave. 5* for everything. Oh and lol I dont work for Wavesport and am trying to get you to buy the boat - I'm just some canoe crazy guy who loves this boat.
