The Maniac was created as the ultimate freestyle playboat. The innovations found in the larger Beast have been tweaked to produce a boat that will cartwheel on the smallest seam, flat-spin on glassy waves, and perform the wildest moves imaginable in the hole. The Maniac's centralized volume tapers quickly, producing low-profile ends that offer minimal resistance for easy initiation of vertical moves. the flat, symmetrical planing hull and no-trip edge are designed around a central spin disc, raised slightly to provide a small secondary planing surface for effortless flat-spins on fast waves.

Like all '98 Savage V kayaks, the Maniac comes outfitted with ergonomically designed seat, thigh braces, and large keyhole cockpit; the wide, padded back support can be adjusted easily from the cockpit via cam-straps located on the thigh braces.
