The s6f is designed as a next generation high performance easy to paddle freestyle boat that will compliment both the s6x and S6 boats in the range.

It incorporates features from proven designs combined with new thinking from
the renowned team at Pyranha and is a package that neatly and efficiently
delivers the ability for people to progress their freestyle paddling past
their current boundaries with ease and a big smile on their faces.

The s6f incorporates the following key benefits:

Easy going: The modified double chine hull, rounded sidewalls and softer
rail make for a super reliable ride with no surprises. A bow-lifter helps
creates lift, reducing pearling while doing moves on surfing waves.

High Performance: A lengthened planning section with front and rear rocker
breaks combining slight kickers and a modified volume distribution make the
s6f feel balanced and deliver snappy, stable, fast and controllable moves.
The s6f can be retro fitted with both front and rear power pocket enhancers
for extra lift and control while looping and a set of fins for precise
directional drive on bigger waves or ocean surf.

Benchmark control & comfort: more foot room and the improved syncro 04
outfitting delivers even better support and now accepted industry leading
fully adjustable precise control and enhanced comfort you expect from
Pyranha.

About the reviewer

I have competed at a few freestyle competitions. I paddle at Tryweryn, Holme Pierpoint, Northampton, the Dee, local weirs, and a bit of surf.

This boat turns even the smallest little local weir into so much fun. Whereever you want the boat, it goes, whatever you want the boat to do it will do it. The back end has so little volume in it that some bigger paddlers in the club can get up on end by just leaning back. Always liked the look of the boat but hadn't got round to actually trying one and when I did I wanted it straight away.

Conclusion

Still one of the best boats out there!

Hey, I'm Steve, I'm 21. I've been boating now for about 4 years. I recently bought the 192 S6f and needless to say I am rather impressed with it. Being so tall and my weight being a factor in the 192 series, I was forced to outfit the kayak by removing the theigh braces leaving the sidewalls my only leg, theigh, and hip support.

This kayak seems to preform very well on waves and in nice play holes. It is sharp, cutting and very demanding when it comes to maneuvering it. I found though, on bigger water it tends to ride stern, alot being from its volume distrubution. Although stern squirting is fun, riding one down class V exploding whitewater can be very intense.

So in conclusion, for play this boat is an end throwing machine, runs rivers very well, and even in bigger water, it is very stable, just making sure you're leaning forward the whole time.

I got this boat as a repair. The back band and the thigh braces all mount on one bolt in the front of the cockpit.
The torque of both legs and back all placed on one part of the boat has caused the boat to crack. The plastic in this area is too thin to handle these loads.
Pyranha will send you a new boat if you are the original owner or they will send a large fender washer if you are trying to repair this boat.

This boat is underbuilt. They have corrected this problem on later boats.

So, while the outfitting is convenient and comfortable and the boat is great for free style, if you want more than one season out of this boat, send it back for a new one!
