Point65 Picnic is a completely new model for the recreational paddler or beginner.

The Point65 models have so far consisted of touring kayaks for shorter and longer expeditions or for play and surf. When we started planning our next model, it was an easy choice to add a recreational model to our range. Johan Wirsén, who has designed the majority of our models, received a challenging wish list: Super-stable, highly maneouverable while still being fun to paddle with characteristcs which make the kayak reliable in unruly waters and windage.

Super-stable
The result is the Picnic which is 450cm long and 63cm wide with a large open cockpit which makes getting in and out of the kayak simple and comfortable. The initial stability makes for a calm and trustworthy kayak which should make even the most doubtful beginner comfortable. The end stability is incredibly strong.

Materials
Picnic is manufactured in 3-layer rotationally moulded Polyethylene, which makes it strong with a surface that can take massive abuse while making the kayak stiffer and lighter than simpler the 1-layer kayaks on the market.

Safety
The foam core in the ployethylene construction is filled with tiny air bubbles which lowers weight while providing increased safety as the kayak will float even if all compartments are water filled.

Equipment
Picnic is standard equipped with a comfortable and ergonomically designed seat, back- and foot support as well as a large watertight compartment in the rear. The Picnic is prepared for a rudder which is available as an option.
