This classic Prospector design has been popular with multi-day trippers since its introduction. The Prospector spins on a dime - even when fully loaded-and is a true pleasure to paddle. The Prospector's 14" depth lends itself to week long trips, yet it handles remarkably well when paddled solo. 16' long. For the experienced paddler and those who want to refine their paddling skills!

"If I could have only one canoe, it would be the original 16-foot Prospector." So wrote Master Paddler Bill Mason in his book, The Song of the Paddle, an Illustrated Guide to Wilderness Camping.

We've returned to the classic Prospector design and specifications. The result is a responsive canoe meant for week-plus adventures or just "playing about in boats." It spins on a dime, tracks better the more its loaded, and brings pure joy to the experienced paddler, and those who want a canoe that will keep up with their improving skills!

The Prospector is a proud addition to the Merrimack line, and one of the best all-around canoes we build.

Specifications:
Bow Height - 25"
Rocker - 3.5"
