I tried many a boat before finally choosing the lil joe. Being well within the weight and height range I still find it a snug fit so those on the latter end of the wieght and height may want to try the next version up the Hoss. Over all getting it on the water I found that edging was an ease. My rolling has never been that great since i was taught, suppose more paractice is needed but it was an ease to do when i got it.

Conclusion

All in all a great boat..

About myself

i was looking for a kayak to start taking on big water in and still be able to play a bit

About the test environment

the south fork wasnt big at all but it was a nice day

Review

the boat handled the water fine since it was nothing but i was totally bored, i realize its not a playboat but its advertised as being able to be used as a playboat and even on medium sized features i wasnt getting anything. all of that said the outfitting was very good and the stock hippads are acutally pretty nice, its a very very comfortable boat.

Conclusion

i guess its a fine river runner but dont be decieved by the statemtns of it being "playful and surftastic"

easily damaged

i recently bought a lil joe, was amazed at the ease of padling and weight.
not so ever the durability and the strangth of the plastic.
day one grade 1 river a few scratches to be expected, i can deal with that,
but then on the second day doing a grade 2 river not much water i managed to deform the hull of the boat.
this surely isnt ment to hapen to a creaking boat in such little water. these boats have been designed to run big rivers, therfore my opinion is that they shudnt be damaged on grade 2 in such a way that mine has.
iv taken it back to the dealer and theyve sent it back of, ill post what happens weather liquid logic take the blame for lack of strength in there plastic.

other boats on this trip werent damaged at all. play boats and creak boats from various makes were fine, sadly mine been the only liquid logic mine failed all expectations.
