Finally a high performance playboat for the 200+ paddler.

The Airhead offers up both big comfort both in the knee and foot areas that big paddlers have a hard time finding in playboats. This is not just an upsized existing playboat. The Airhead is for the bigger paddlers looking for high performance. By adding more surface area to the planing hull, we've made the boat looser for big folks who tend to sink smaller playboats. We added the volume that these paddlers need for big air loops.

Sweet Boat

About the reviewer

I just started paddling in the summer of 08 and bought the Airhead used in October I think. I'm not that good but this boat is helping me learn quick.

Review

I found the boat to be really easy to roll even though every other review on this site says it's really hard. The huge volume is hard to end at first compared to my other boat, but after a little practice it isn't bad. Lots of room in it though I'm not all that tall and with size 12 feet they're not that big, in fact I definitely need some foam in the front or there is way too much room and I can't reach the end with my feet.

The outfitting on mine is the old outfitting not the "bad-ass" outfitting, but it is still comfortable, the only thing I dislike is the padding they put for your knees on the outside of the hull - kinda scratched my knees, but I think that's because without a bulkhead in the front for my feet I tend to move forward and back with my knees on the pad.

Conclusion

Good boat, I really like it though I haven't paddled a whole lot in it, I think it will just get better.
