The Skua is a high-performance expedition kayak. It is lively but secure and its excellent secondary stability makes even the novice feel comfortable in calm conditions. Its length results in good speed and its volume provides excellent load carrying capacity. The relatively low initial stability gives the kayak its remarkable responsiveness, while the rock-solid secondary stability and sea friendliness of the kayak will give you the confidence to the most challenging conditions. The Skua is designed as an expedition kayak. Its length provides good speed and its volume ensures excellent secondary stability and load carrying capacity. The reliability of the Skua makes it very appealing as a day tripper and for recreational paddling. The Skua is not designed around racing, but its good speed and excellent handling characteristics mean that it is still competitive. It can handle extreme sea conditions in the hands of an experienced kayaker, although really extreme kayakers may prefer a shorter boat which can turn faster. The Skua can be supplied with a retractable skeg instead of a rudder for more extreme applications where the boat needs to be as clean as possible.

Kaskazi Skua 3 Piece
To make life easier for storage, transport and travelling to great paddling destinations around the globe, we can make a Kaskazi Skua in a 3 Piece version.

The kayak is split at the two bulkheads to give you three sections of the kayak that are easier to transport and store. To join the kayak strengthened interlocking bulkheads are bolted together using wing nuts and rubber sealing washers.

Once assembled it is a very standard looking Kaskazi Skua with two faint lines running around the bulkhead areas of the kayak. The 3 piece kayak is approximately 2 kg heavier than the standard model.

Features:
• Comfortable cockpit and seat
• Fast expedition kayak
• Tracks well without the rudder
• Good secondary stability
• High load carrying capacity
Large hatches
• Two bulkheads
• Rudder with uphaul / downhaul
• Pedal steering with self-adjusting rudder lines
• Retractable skeg as an alternative to the rudder
