The New Fun floats the amazing simplicity and versatility of the classic design to the next level of performance– and in so many ways!
Comfort: ergonomically advanced so even more body types can paddle happily all day.
Rollability: you deserve the confidence that the low stern, flexible backband, and flared sidewall of our Fun series provides every level of paddler – it’s the easiest boat to roll ever!
Easy Play: from simple surfing and effortless spins to stern-squirts and cartwheels (and far beyond) every level of paddler will appreciate the slippery, streamlined advances for play in 07.
River-running: now even MORE forgiving, easier to change directions, and smoother riding across rocks, this NEW Fun takes the confident stability of the classic into more technical places.
How is this possible? Here’s a more technical rundown of the specific improvements:
More Volume: improvements in leg and foot-room pump up the volume from 51 gal to 53, resulting in floatier river running and bigger loops while a 1/2’’ increase in hull-width improves initial stability.
Slicier Shape: the new design reduces water resistance, making it easier to get vertical in flatwater. You’re sure to find the New Fun takes less effort to cartwheel at every spot.
Rounded Deck Edges: the new friendlier deck shape and softened stern edge not only allows water to run off smoother for quicker re-surfacing but also protect your hands and elbows from sharp corners, edges, or deck-lines.
Improved Cockpit Design: you’ll find it much easier to get in and out of the New Fun because we’ve raised the leg area and improved the ease with which the skirt goes on and off the boat
More Foot-room: not just more, but an improved shape to better fit your feet.
Faster, Looser Hull: this new hull is EASIER TO SPIN, faster on waves, and carries more speed through crisply carved turns. A slight crown replaces the grooves to create a silky smooth feel whether on sliding down small waves, big waves, or rocks.

About the reviewer
This was the first boat I had bought for myself, I was used to kayaking in an old WS Big EZ, and Riots. I had learned the roll and done some surfing but mostly river running.
Test Environment
Ran this boat in class II and III+ water, did some surfing, park and play, and numerous pool sessions
Review
I loved this boat from the start! Extremely easy to roll. Very well balanced and stable when running the river. Your first experience in this boat will make you say, "wow this is comfortable", and "it's pretty big". One thing I noticed was that this boat quickly became to big for me. As I had begun to be more comfortable on class IIIs and surfed more and more, the boat was just a little too big for me at 61 and 3/4 gallons. I have come to the conclusion that unless you are 200 lbs or more, than I wouldn't go with this boat. The smaller, 54 gallon FUN was a better fit, more responsive, and quicker.
Conclusion
Great at running the river for the bigger than average guy. Wouldn't recommend for under 195lbs unless you are going to run rivers only, it's a big boat and hard to play even at 190.
Comfortable, Stable, Easy to roll, will fit some pretty hefty guys.

Review
I paddled an 06 4fun probably 45 times last year and loved the boat. Just a few weeks ago, it developed a crack in the bottom. JK warrantied it, I payed for the upgraded hull and took home the new 07. I took it on the Muddy river in Washington state last weekend and I was delighted to see that the new hull is indeed much looser than the older version.
The outfitting is pretty much the same, however I did need to move the seat all the way forward to get my knees in the correct spot. I did not suffer any trim problems in doing this. I chose the 4 fun again because I do more class III/IV- in it than playboating. If this wasn't the case, I'd have gotten the Fun.
Conclusion
The 07 4Fun is still a great boat, the hull is looser and did seem easier to roll, not that the older version was hard. I only gave it a 4.5 because there is always room for improvment. I'm happy with it and look forward to paddling it all summer until the creeks come back up.
