Although conceived, and well-proven in the rodeo circuit, as an all-out "play boat", the Transition has quickly shown itself to also be an excellent all-around kayak for better paddlers.

A high-volume midsection with lower-volume ends not only allows for greater ease of retentive moves in your favorite hole or shredding your favorite wave, but also gives you plenty of room in the cockpit to be comfortable in the process. The Transition is a great boat on my favorite river, the Obed in Tennessee. Whether surfing a wave or hole, making a slot move or paddling through the 15' waves at Widow Maker at high water, the Transition is always a joy to paddle.
