The Pakesso with rudder is both compact and lightweight.

The rudder will appeal to the novice paddler, by allowing them to easily steer the kayak. A more experienced paddler will appreciate the reverse hard chine combined with a semi-arched hull. Standard equipment includes a rudder, a comfort seat, recessed hatches with quick release, thigh braces, recessed fittings and deck line.

The Pakesso with skeg is a small-sized kayak, both lightweight and responsive. Its shape combines the advantages of the reverse hard chine and semi-arched hull. By offering the skeg option, we have tailored the kayak towards a paddler who is looking to use, or develop a more advanced paddling technique. Standard equipment includes a skeg, a backband seat, rubber hatches, anodized aluminium footrests, thigh braces, recessed deck fittings and a deck line.

Pakesso is the Abenaki word for "ruffed grouse", better known as "partridge" in North America. The ruffed grouse is a bird with a wonderful red or grey plumage. The plumage is usually fan-shaped over the head of this bird that inhabits the dense undergrowth of deciduous forests. The Aboriginal people call it a “carpenter bird” because of the noise it makes with its wings in springtime.
