The Esperanto is the longest and fastest of our plastic tandems.

It is easy to paddle, comfortable and stable, and can reach excellent cruising speeds. A moderate rocker and larger rudder contribute efficiently to responsive turns. The practical centre compartment can be used for extra storage or outfitted with an optional child seat/bulkhead. The cockpits are spaced sufficiently apart, allowing the paddlers to paddle at their own speed, without risk of accidental collision between the two paddles. This makes the kayak ideally suited to paddlers with mixed abilities or families with young children.

Esperanto is a language used more and more in international exchanges. It is not the language of a people, but more an international language that can allow everybody in the world to understand each other. Today, about 2 million people in the world speak Esperanto.

Further Specs:
• Weight: 96 lb (43 kg)
• Bow compartment: 10" x 10": 15 gal us (25 x 25 cm : 59 l)
• Stern compartment: 14 1/2" x 12 1/2" : 26 gal us (37 x 32 cm : 97 l)
• Middle compartment: 18" x 14 1/2" (46 x 37 cm)

Options:
A third hatch can be added to the middle of the kayak creating additional accessible storage. The further addition of the child’s seat option in this compartment adds a fourth bulkhead which increases buoyancy capabilities. Like the Beluga, the Esperanto is safe, manoeuvrable and exceptionally stable, making it an ideal choice for introducing a young child to water sports.

Important:
A child can be seated in the middle hatch section of a tandem kayak. Maximum recommended weight is 32 kilograms (70 pounds). We do not recommend having a child aboard in high winds or choppy waters. Never tie down a baby to a seat or to the kayak.
