Wooden canoes catch your attention as they pass by and force you to slow down and stop, to take in the details of their beauty.

When many of us are living with a lot of daily stress, it's more important than ever to try to find time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life… American Traders' canoes are the perfect escape, what could be better than spending a few hours unwinding on the water. As beautiful as they are, all of our canoes are intended for use in the water.

The Fawn, with it’s wide beam and reinforced bottom, is a stable recreational canoe ideal for family paddling. Instead of brass tacks, the Fawn uses contact epoxy to bond the planking to the ribs which reduces the weight by a few pounds. The Fawn has a distinct, signature look that’s created by using Western Red and Eastern White cedar. The Fawn is also popular for day-tripping or weekend camping.

Material: - WE
WE Wood-Epoxy - Sometimes referred to as 'wood-glass' canoes are built using the same methods as canvas covered canoes, however a clear bonded epoxy is used on the outside of the hull. An invisible layer of fiberglass cloth between the wood and the epoxy adds strength while allowing the natural beauty of the wood to show through.
