I am very grateful to have SUP as a way to experience nature, and a way to foster community. We have the opportunity to build a love for the outdoors that many people don't have access to. It is imperative that we engage in protecting these wild places for current and future generations. In September, Badfish shaper and co-founder Zack Hughes, the shred master himself Michael Tavares, and myself, paddled for 8 days through the desert Southwest. It was the first time I had covered a long distance over multiple days on a paddle board, and it was magical.
