Feb 28 Social Instagram Sometimes you just get lucky and end up in the right place at the right time. I was on a solo mission from Klemtu to Port Hardy and I stumbled upon this crew in Rescue Bay. They were 52 days out of Juneau on their way to, wait for it, Tierra del Fuego. They were life-long friends and four of them were sitting around at a party trying to decide what to do before life got serious. They decided to ride their bikes from Juneau to Tierra del Fuego. Why not? They announced their plan and other friends signed on. One of them suggested that they paddle the Inside Passage to near-Nanaimo and ride from there instead. Deal done. Seaward Kayaks provided boats, local vendors provided gear and Indigenous Communities provided knowledge and inspiration. Three of them completed the trip. Google atripsouth and take a look.
