Oct 13 Social Instagram #TBT to my full 2nd place run at the Rey Del Rio 'Waterfall World Championships' in 2014. I was super nervous and not sure if what I had in mind was a good idea or not... I'd been doing cross bows off Spirit Falls all year but never off anything that big. I was more nervous about the kick flip to switch freewheel on the final drop. That trick was inspired by this little wave train back home I used to kick flip and then immediately throw pistol flips out of on my landing. But I wasn't sure if I would have the time to get into the right position for the switch freewheel. But somehow, it worked perfect. What's cool about events like 'Rey Del Rio' (or @redbullrampageofficial in biking) is that they force athletes to be creative and utilize their skill sets on a much larger than life platform. Oct 1 Social Instagram I was 2nd in Long Boat and 2nd in Short Boat at the Feather River Fest last weekend behind my buddy @watercharged who took 1st in both categories! Here’s some @gopro Hero 5 highlights from the main event which is Long Boat. A certain someone may not have practiced proper “racing etiquette” at about 30 seconds into this clip ;)° Just a little advice... If you're being passed in a race (especially by a minute) the proper thing to do is to pull over and get completely out of the way.
