Feb 2 Social Instagram Time for another #tbt, this time let's go exactly 7 years ago to northwestern Greece, where we had worked on the other side of that dam you can see in the back. We got called off from the job due to political and financial reasons unable to finish even the first step after some 4 months in. Crazy for sure, I liked that site, people were awesome, we stayed at kinda sweet place, we had quite good setup made finally, had been getting used to everything, I even learned some basic Greek phrases because just English hadn't been very useful there. And most of all I had my kayak with me, for the first time having kayak on the project and actually had quite a few opportunities to paddle. After every bigger rain or weather event Acheloos river provided few pretty good rapids right below the dam and even raised my adrenaline level during one flood event. Since then I try to bring at least one kayak everywhere I can. Sadly it doesn't happen very often and many times my heart's bleeding watching some nice stretch of the river without having a chance to run it..
